Can you add a sample with security/identity. It would make it an easier purchase for integration.

We are looking to buy and integrate, but a big major concern is the security and roles - where all users are able to see all tables.

If you could show how to lock down the views based on user roles, to prevent some users from seeing sensitive data in some tables, that would be a bonus. Right now, given your component and structure its very hard to understand how to implement something like this. Quite frankly we are looking for something rapid to implement, so this would be perfect!

For e.g. a simple page with the tabular columns check boxes - [view, edit, query] etc vs roles [in rows]

Dealing with user roles is not the part of the component's functionality. We are going to add the sample control/demo to fill and edit the content of Metadata Container. Also we are preparing the new web service that will do exactly what you want (identity support for users and roles to browse/query/edit data tables). It will be available in a month or so. That's fine if its outside the component, but a sample demo would be critically needed for our application. It will benefit your sales in the long run if its easy for customers to integrate.

Dealing with user roles in not up to the component's functionality. Visible database objects are determined by the content of Metadata Container. The content of metadata container can be saved to XML file using the ExportToXML and loaded back using the ImportFromXML metods of MetadataContainer class. I agree that the current version lacks the easy way to edit the content of Metadata Container. We will notify you as soon as this option will be available.
