This would be nice to have a separate non-visual engine. Unfortunately, this can't be completed fast. We are planning to start the implementation of this feature next year.
Are there any intentions to adjust the VCL code for Firemonkey? In case there aren't, is it any nonvisual (vcl independent) code that can be used in Delphi to get access to the query AST?
Sorry, but we don't have strict plans for this feature. Neither we see much of interest in our component for this development environment. Possibly we'll get back to this feature in 2018 if FMX would be alive then.
We are in the process of re-designing the .NET core source code for ease of migration to another language. After that it will be more convenient to move this code to FMX.
We intend to do a full rewrite of our application based on FMX. We based some of our code on the VCL version of Active Query Builder. I see this idea was postponed a year ago. Are they any new plans or roadmap for it?
It is not easy to do this as this will require full reorganization of the source code. We are now finishing the same process in .NET version in order to implement WPF UI. But we don't see enough demand for this feature. Let's see how this idea will be voted by the customers. I will ask to pay attention to it in the christmas newsletter.
